On March 10, SOLARMAN made a strong appearance at SOLAR SOLUTIONS in Amsterdam RAI, presenting its smart energy management solutions for both residential and commercial & industrial scenarios at Booth C10.1. Against the backdrop of the planned phase-out of the net metering scheme in 2027 and the growing adoption of dynamic electricity tariffs, how to more effectively manage self-generated energy became a central topic of conversation among visitors.

In response to the shift in Dutch households from simply “selling electricity” to actively “managing electricity,” SOLARMAN highlighted its Open HEMS smart home energy solution. Built on a “hardware + software + AI” architecture, the solution forms a complete closed loop covering generation, storage, consumption, and management.
On the hardware front, the solution offers a comprehensive “energy nerve ending” portfolio. The P1 meter reader, designed for the Benelux market, is plug-and-play, converting monthly utility bills into real-time electricity data. The EMH series gateways act as the intelligent hub, integrating devices from different brands—such as PV inverters, storage systems, and EV chargers—via standard protocols. Even when the network is disconnected, local execution of dynamic tariff strategies remains possible. In addition, the MPO series optimizers can increase system power generation by 5% to 30% while offering rapid shutdown functionality.
On the software front, the smart home energy management platform has integrated real-time tariff data from 31 European countries and 14 power regions in the UK. By combining weather forecasts with household consumption patterns, the AI automatically calculates the optimal energy usage strategy—charging storage during low-price periods and prioritizing PV or battery power during peak hours—making complex energy management accessible at users’ fingertips.

Beyond the residential segment, the UniEnergy platform drew significant interest from European installers and project developers. Designed specifically for C&I PV, storage, and energy consumption scenarios, the platform offers a digital solution covering monitoring, control, management, and maintenance across the full chain. It enables centralized monitoring of multi-site assets, intelligent O&M, and advanced applications such as demand management and peak-valley arbitrage, helping commercial and industrial users effectively reduce electricity costs.

With less than a year remaining before the net metering policy is phased out in the Netherlands, SOLARMAN is empowering European users with a complete product portfolio spanning hardware and software, as well as residential and C&I applications, to navigate the next phase of the energy transition.
