E* is one of our key partners in southern Italy, serving as both an installer and distributor, primarily supporting clients with the installation and deployment of rooftop photovoltaic projects.
However, in this particular project, the on-site installation conditions were relatively complex, with a high possibility of shading throughout the day. As a result, the overall photovoltaic system performance has been significantly impacted, leading to reduced daily energy generation efficiency for the end users.

ITALY
The actual operating environment of the plant is affected by intermittent shading for approximately 2 to 4 hours each day. This prevents panels from operating at their full capacity and leads to a typical “bucket effect,” where the performance of the entire string is limited by the weakest-performing module.
SOLARMAN deployed 12 MPO650 power optimizers – one per affected module.
The optimizers were paired with the SOLARMAN platform. As shown in the attached dashboard screenshot, every optimizer is listed by its serial number with clear realtime status.
This gives end-users per-module visibility – voltage, current, power output, etc.

Reference Picture
Daily energy yield of the shaded string: +24%
System performance ratio (PR) : 0.76 → 0.94
Annual CO₂ reduction : 2.04 tonnes
Beyond energy gain:
Centralized platform management enables more convenient monitoring and remote operation.
The optimizer is easy to install, significantly reducing labor requirements and overall personnel costs.
“Before, we had to climb onto the roof every time a shaded module was suspected. Now we see each panel's output on the phone – and we know exactly where to go, or if we need to go at all.” — Local technician, E*
